Oni Taiji-no-Mai (Demon Slaying)
鬼退治の舞
This comical play tells the story of three demons (symbols of all the evil in the world) causing havoc and strife in a village, bringing suffering to the people. The god Kizuki Daimyōjin is ordered to slay the demons and confronts them. A battle begins, but it seems the trio of demons and the god are evenly matched: each time Kizuki Daimyōjin fells one of the demons, it comes back to life through demon magic. The god then steals the demon staff of the largest demon and seals off their magic. At last, Kizuki Daimyōjin uses his sword to slay the large demon, banishing evil from the world and bringing peace and safety to the land.
